in programs interacting with the community, law enforcement,
the media and the judicial system.

Law
Enforcement Supporter – The relationship
between MADD and law enforcement is of vital importance.
Law Enforcement Supporters assist local, county and state
enforcement agencies in their efforts to combat alcohol-impaired
driving. By serving as a liaison between MADD and law
enforcement, volunteers can help provide the resources,
tools and encouragement needed to make our highways and
roads safe.

Speakers’
Bureau Participant – The public wants and
needs to know about MADD’s life-saving work. Speakers’
Bureau Participants help spread the word by attending
a variety of local meetings of social and civic organizations
and making presentations. Through these presentations,
information can be shared regarding DWI fatalities and
injuries, the programs and events MADD is conducting locally
to address this health and safety issue, and how the public
can get involved.

and felony court cases (generally where there is no victim
involved) and collect information that can be used to
recommend constructive improvements to our judicial system.

Media
Coordinator/Spokesperson – MADD offices must
develop and nurture strong relationships with local media
so that the public can be made aware of our activities,
events and programs. Media Coordinators work closely with
MADD staff to foster these relationships through media
alerts, press releases and interviews. Media Coordinators
may become MADD Spokespersons with sufficient training
and experience.
