Services |
Victim
Services volunteers assist individual survivors and victims
of drunk driving through programs that offer support,
healing, and hope. Some of the Victim Services programs
are as follows:

Candlelight
Vigil Coordinator – MADD Candlelight Vigils
may be conducted at any time during the year, but are
most often held in December and/or during National Crime
Victims’ Rights Week (annually in April). Vigil
coordinators help ensure that these programs achieve the
following objectives: to remember victims of alcohol-related
crashes and to support their families, to alert the public
about the reality of drunk driving and to express hope
for a less violent future for us all.

Panels (VIPs) allow victims/survivors an opportunity to
heal by sharing their personal stories of bereavement,
injuries and loss with an audience of receptive participants.
Volunteer Victim Impact Panel coordinators play an important
part in helping to reduce future victimizations by helping
to ensure that VIPs educate participants about the hazards
of impaired driving and motivate participants to make
