YOU
Are Exactly What We Need!
As
a Friend InDeed in Texas, you will become one of more
than three million individuals already working together
nationwide to end drunk driving and the sorrows it causes.
Which area of the organization you choose and what time
commitment you can offer are decisions that are totally
up to you. Just by being here you’ll make an enormous
difference in so many lives, and enrich your own in the
process.
Review each of the following opportunities and make note
of the ones that most interest you. We’ll be happy
to give you more details to help in your decision.

Victim
Services – One of our most profound responsibilities
is assisting individual survivors and victims of drunk
driving. Volunteers here are able to offer support, healing
and hope through a variety of services and programs.

Youth
Programs – Reaching young people early is
essential to MADD’s success in preventing the negative
consequences of underage drinking. Friends InDeed offers
comprehensive educational programs and targeted mentoring
for elementary, middle, high school and college students.

Adult
Education Programs – Educating the adults
in our communities is a key focus of Friends InDeed. We
do that by interacting with social and civic organizations,
law enforcement, the media and the judicial system to
change attitudes about drinking and driving.

Public
Policy – Our efforts are most effective when
lawmakers understand and support MADD’s objectives.
Friends InDeed volunteers can help communicate our goals
and challenges to community leaders and legislators at
the city and state levels.

Administrative
Support – With all we have going on any given
day, it’s crucial to find people we can count on
for organization, focus and consistency. Volunteers who
can provide that kind of administrative assistance are
invaluable, and much appreciated.

Community
Leadership – Spreading the news of what we
are about and what we do within our community is an ideal
way to garner ongoing support. Here, volunteers will use
their enthusiasm, connections and “people skills”
to network and encourage individuals and corporations
to rally around our cause.

Fundraising/Events
– Special events, fundraising initiatives and targeted
campaigns help generate vital financial support for MADD.
